The PALETTE Program

Promoting Art for Life Enrichment Through Transgenerational Engagement (PALETTE) connects senior adults and interprofessional students to engage in creative arts. This intergenerational art program creates common ground for younger and older adults to build relationships and bridge generational gaps.

Intergenerational participants of the PALETTE program came together with their friends, family and community members to celebrate another wonderful semester of visual arts programming. The third annual Art Beyond the Ages exhibit kicked off with an Opening Reception sponsored by VCU Gerontology - School of Allied Health Professions. Thank you to partners Visual Arts Center of Richmond, VCU School of Pharmacy, VCU Physical Therapy - School of Allied Health Professions, Weinstein JCC and Senior Connections VA. Thank you to VCU Virginia Center on Aging - School of Allied Health Professions for your contunined support. And THANK YOU to our community for an amazing showing at the Opening Reception!

The third annual exhibit of Art Beyond the Ages was another great success! Thank you to the many people who came out to our opening reception last Monday evening and thank you to Visual Arts Center of Richmond for an incredible semester of arts programming! Thank you to our partners VCU Gerontology - School of Allied Health Professions (and sponsor of the opening reception!), VCU School of Pharmacy, VCU Physical Therapy - School of Allied Health Professions, VCU Dentistry, VCU School of Social Work, Weinstein JCC and Senior Connections VA. Want to see what everyone was working on? Art Beyond the Ages opens tomorrow night with a free Opening Reception! Get the chance to chat with the PALETTE artists who have put together an exhibit of beautiful pieces created throughout the semester. Light fare and refreshments too! Stop by the Dominion Room at Visual Arts Center of Richmond between 5-7pm tomorrow, February 29th.
